About

Hello, my name is Emily.

Currently…. living differently.

Inspired by my time working in a favela in Rio de Janeiro, community organizing in my hometown, and dedication to the interfaith movement, I now create partnerships between diverse communities globally. I study housing policy and social movements with a special interest in religion and spirituality. My most recent work has been the Director of International Partnerships for Favela Expereince in Rio de Janeiro, and I am now about to take a year to bicycle from Argentina to Canada with my love. I am an avid photographer and writer and will use this adventure to unfold the thresholds of doing something that scares you and brings you to life simultaneously. All while seeking to understand a little more.

I come from a a background in high fashion modeling, nightclubs, and drug addiction which birthed my sobriety, which fueled my desire to return to higher education and work as an advocate for the unhoused in my community.

We all have the right to a home.

People inspire me to live, love and challenge my thinking. I believe the intersection of housing disparity, poverty and climate change is the apex of our survival. And moreover the point at which we can begin to truly be free. Mentally and physically we are feeling the impacts of a disconnection crises, racism, and classism. Community building is like popping a pill for that. Living in community is like mainlining connection. When live closer together, sharing our resources, we seem to find what we have always been looking for. Simple, but life changing.

Join me as I travel through South America on my bicycle, live in a favela in Rio de Janeiro, and travel throughout the world in between. All the while exploring what it means to live in community, live simply, to love, to loose, to LIVE life FULLY.

Eat, pray bike.
