Unraveling and re-raveling
Hello Blog fam,
I’d like to say that I have been entirely resilient through traveling across foreign countries, in a car that has broken down multiple times, dealing with past traumas re-lived though the testimonies of women who have recently been traumatized, and coping with a traveling partner experiencing depression.
But I haven’t been 100%,
and that is ok.
I did something that I used to not do, which is slow down.
And stop.
I flew home on December 3rd to my very excited parents. I got to take a warm shower, then another, and in fact one everyday. I have baked Christmas cookies and spoken with lawyers, and dyed my hair pink and slept. I have not stopped writing, in fact have had the chance to piece together all of the illustrious stories from the days since you heard from me last at the end of November.
I now have many blog posts to share, all on what the unraveling and raveling back together has looked like. My goal is to post one of these every-other day until Christmas as my Christmas present to you for being there with me on this epic journey.
It aint over yet, and on January 2nd I head first to Mexico and then to Brazil.
So hang on, and here we go…
